The Language Industry Summit 2018 will be held from Thursday the 20th to Saturday the 22nd of September, in the vibrant city of Cardiff at the Hilton Hotel. This year’s ATC Language Industry Summit is set to be the best yet with an exceptional line up of revered speakers and thought-provoking topics. This year’s event will have more than 15 guest speakers, giving speeches on topics covered include Transnational Organized Crime and Translation, Brexit and the future of LSPs, insight from the European Parliament along with industry associations coming together to discuss working alongside each other in the future with representatives from the UK and Europe.

The theme for this year’s Language Industry Summit is Changing Landscape: UK language industry 2020. The summit welcomes Lesley Batchelor OBE, Director General of the Institute of Export (IOE) International Trade for the last seven years to speak at this year’s event. In addition to Professor Joanna Drugan of the University of East Anglia and current lead of a funded project into Transnational Organized Crime and Translation.

Also on the program is Andrea Laura Kiss, who is the marketing director of EC Innovations Europe, along with Doctor James Wei, the founder of the EC Innovations, Inc. who will converse with attendees at our booth, on the 20 years’ experience in the translation industry and discuss the future of the industry and services in the UK and Europe.
